Modern mp3 players supported by Rockbox?

Thanks. I'll load it, but since the glitch is random I may get a bad result immediately, otherwise go several days before I think it's solved. I'll post when it seems that I have a result.

That sounds like a problem with your client.
odonnell:
Right. I have no idea why, but my standard Mozilla Firefox from the Ubuntu Artful distribution failed to download, but the Epiphany browser succeeded. I have the Rockbox version you pointed to running succesfully on the Sansa ClipZip. I'll report when it either glitches or goes a long time without glitch.
Thanks.

* I have been running version 1015088 provided by saratoga for two weeks and I have not caught any of the glitches that bothered me with stable release 3.14. I
* I will try to reintroduce a personalized variant of the Cabbie theme that I was using before. I seems highly unlikely that UI customization through the *.cfg scripts would cause the glitches. I will surely post again if they reappear.
* I wonder when/if I should try a subsequent stable release? I'll try to infer from the release notes, and I'll always keep more reliable backup versions, but advice would be helpful.
* I recall seeing some discussion of a similar problem on a Sansa forum (but specifically referring to to Clip+ running Rockbox rather than native system). If I can find it again, I'll post a link to this thread. If the problem is more widespread, it might be worth moderating this discussion into a separate thread, and providing a clear stable link to the older version of Rockbox.
But mostly, thanks so much for the assistance.

P.S. I found the Sansa forum thread (http://forums.sandisk.com/t5/Sansa-Clip-Sansa-Clip/Random-track-skip-on-Rockbox/td-p/293401) and posted a reference to this one.
