Rockbox Ports are now being developed for various digital audio players!
Question: Does this support folder Navigation?Answer: yes I loaded it with several folders and was able to independently open each
Hi InGearXThose SanDisk players you mentioned are no longer manufactured because SanDisk have their newer model in production, the SanDisk Clip Jam. The Amazon.com link is here (black model): https://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-8GB-Clip-Player-Black/dp/B00VXMY262It has folder structure, a microSD slot (I have tested up to 64GB), is solidly built and has surprisingly good sound quality. I did read prior to my own purchase of the player than the battery had been changed from the previous models and does not last as long. This I can confirm. However I play 320kbps mp3 files and often at max volume in my car due to the quiet nature of the radio it feeds into. So this is likely not considered "normal" use. I use it for probably 4-5 hours a day and it would likely last 2 days on a full charge. For playing lower bitrate tracks and at a more sensible volume I'm sure it would last several more hours. And it seems to charge very quickly which is good.I have been looking at the AGPTEK A12 8GB Clip player myself and have heard good things. But it doesn't seem to have anything over the Clip Jam. The battery sounds like it may be better from their battery life stats, but those aren't generally that accurate for real use. Perhaps Bluetooth is a selling point for you, otherwise I would suggest going with the SanDisk as it is a trusted brand and there are many more reviews, etc for the Clip Jam verifying it's quality.
