IRiver H320/40 storage limit?

I have both an IRiver H320 and an H340 which i have been using for what seems like an eternity and they are still going strong.

Last year i bought an iFlash Quad card with IPod adapter to use in one of them along with 3 genuine Samsung 64gb microsd cards. Yesterday i was putting new MP3's onto it and they will show fine on Windows but when i try to access them on the players the artist name is there but there are no files visible when i click on the artist. I have updated the database and they don't show in their either.

I think i may have went over 120gb when i updated it recently so i am not sure if this player is limited to size or the number of files it can access.

I also thought i may have a corrupted card but as all 3 get joined together when i format them as one i have ruled that out as when i transferred my collection over it is only the last say 10-15gb of files that are not showing on the player.

Does anyone have any ideas before i have to format and spend another 5hrs formatting the card and reloading  all of my files back on?

I am still using my 340 from 2004 Still kicks ass and I won't part with it for anything. I have only had to change the battery two times.

I want to move to microSD cards shortly now that sufficient support exists with hardware to do this easily.

Did you manage to find an upper limit on capacity of cards in your testing? I don't want to spring for a 256GB card when it might top out

As far as I know, Rockbox has no file or capacity limit . The card just needs to be formatted to FAT32.

From reading the other posts on this site it would appear that the iflash adapters have known compatibility issues.
