Sansa Clip+ Stuck At Bootloader USB Mode

<< < (3/4) > >>

Bilgus:
it isn't a new problem it is the same problem..

you can try formatting with something like rmusbprep https://www.rmprepusb.com/

BlackGuyRX:
Tried, get this error

Bilgus:
ah 30 mb not 30gb the best I can tell you now is to follow this guide
https://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SansaAMSUnbrick

Unfortunately I only have a recovery image for the clip+ 4gb model so you will probably have to find someone with an 8gb model to do a fw dump in recovery mode

I have successfully dumped and restored the 4gb image from one player to another but, I seriously doubt the 4gb recovery image will work properly on your 8gb device.
Maybe you can write the bootloader image directly but I don't have enough experience with it to tell you if that will work or not..

you might try asking on the RB IRC channel..

First step will be to get linux running..

BlackGuyRX:
I've got Unbuntu on another SSD....Though i'm still learning Linux and bumping my head...I'm also rusty with IRC...I can try though

BlackGuyRX:
I just took a peek at the guide and...Geez. No way I have the means (or skill) to solder or take the thing apart. I wonder if I can just send it to a trustworthy user and have them repair it instead.
