Two little things I don't like in the new version (Sansa Clip Zip)

(1/3) > >>

Mr Wolf:
Hi! I've just upgraded my Sansa Clip Zip to Rockbox 3.14. Mainly, I've upgraded to make it work with a new notebook with Windows 10.

Two little things I don't like of the new version are:
1) To turn off the player when keys are locked, now I have to long press the power button for a longer time (about 10 seconds), while earlier I had to long press it for about 3 seconds.
I use very often this feature when I keep the player in my pocket with keys locked and I have to turn it off without taking it out.
I don't think one can long press the power button unintentionally for a few seconds.
2) When I turn the player on, it opens the settings menu instead of the main menu as earlier. Why?

I don't know if these are bugs or there's an option to configure them or if they are present in the Sansa Clip Zip only.

Thanks for your work!

1)  Holding power is the hard reset.  Don't do that unless the device is frozen.  I'm not sure why disabling power off while keys are locked seems to have been added.

2)  The screen at start up is controlled by the Start Screen option under playback.  If it starts with settings, probably that setting has been changed to settings.

Mr Wolf:
Thank you! So, holding power button now is just reset. I forgot it.
For 2), I really didn't see that option. There are so many!  ::)

For #1 Pretty sure that is my doing, Will check in a few days

Mr Wolf:
Thank you!  :D
