Latest build: does it support mSATA adapter?
« on: September 09, 2017, 10:13:09 PM »
Hello all.

I have an iPod 5.5g with one of the iFlash-Sata mSATA adapters from iflash.xyz.

I recall that when I built the iPod with the adpater in 2012 I had to get a patched version of Rockbox to make it work. I am not sure of the technical issue but I think it has to do with disk timings. I think this is unique to the SATA adapter and not to the other types of adapters.

Does the latest build of Rockbox natively support the type of adapter I am using? -> https://www.iflash.xyz/store/iflash-sata/

There is no official support for those adapters, and people frequently report disk corruption or other problems using them.
