Can I put Rockbox on my Sony NWZ-E585?

Hi,

I'm new here, and so many thanks in advance for any help.

I've been using Rockbox on a series of Sansa Clips very happily for years, and would like to be able to put it on my new Sony Walkman (NWZ-E585). I have searched, but it's not clear to me whether it's compatible or not.

Hi, yes it is compatible but the port is currently in development so it's not so easy to test it. But very soon it will be officially supported.

Where should I keep watching to see when it's available?

It should be on the main page, in the list of players. The instruction should be there: https://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SonyNWLinuxPort (note that at the moment the instructions are only for advanced users)
