Unlocking BOP Sansa mp3 players and installing Rockbox in them

Anyone knows how to unlock BOP firmware on Sansa Clip+ and to install Rockbox on it? And can it be done with a smartphone (galaxy s5) ?

This involves shorting out the flash memory to force the player into a recovery mode where the firmware can be overwritten. However, you'll need a linux PC to do this (or a Windows PC with suitable tools), and it is not clear to me how likely this is to actually work.
