Can't update my Sansa Clip+

(1/1)

Deadpool:
Hi! Big fan of this project here, you did a great job making this software compatible with so many devices. Mp3 players are dying, so it's especially needed now.

About the issue at hand.. Recently I tried to update my Sansa Clip+ to 3.14, especially curious to test out the battery improvement. I used Rockbox Utility 1.4.0, which is the last available on the site.
Now, the firmware seems updated, the installation wend smoothly, no trace of an error.. Then I go and check and the version is still 3.13. It shows it on the bootscreen and on the "System" voice in the menu.

What happened here? Is it installed? Is it not? And if not, why? Should I do it manually? I'd do it directly, but I figured it's a possible opportunity to learn about possible bugs and whatnot.

Thanks again for your software.

This happened to me when 3.14 was first announced.  I suggest you go back and re-download the install file and try again.  Battery life went up from 15 hours to 28 hours on my Clip+ which is pretty impressive.

Deadpool:
I don't think it's the same issue (they forgot to update the files on the server, right?).. But no worries, I found out what happened: I'm an idiot.
Basically I forgot to specify the letter of the mountpoint, thinking it would have done so automatically, so it installed rockbox on the external microSD. Now I pointed it to the correct letter and it's installed! Can't wait to try it out!

I should probably delete the rockbox folder on the external sd now, right?
