Ipod Video 5thGen. Maximum size of database
« on: June 23, 2017, 10:47:40 AM »
Hi,

I have an IPod Video 5th Gen modified to 128GB SD card. Everything was working fine so far. Now the SD card gets fuller and fuller and if I transfer new music it updates the database automatically. This was working fine in the past. Since a few weeks even after auto-update of the database I get the message after switching on my Pod "Database not actual generate new? Enter with select button" It takes quite a long time to update. After updating there are more than 11500 entries and I found in the Menu an entry how big the database should be. I took the maximum 11000 entries. Can it be that the size of the database is limited??

Regards

There is no limit on the size of the database, although there is a limit to how large any particular list of tracks generated with the database can be.

Dear Saratoga,

thanks a lot for quick reply. I might setup my IPod new to get it solved.  :)
