IPod classic 7 ear bud volume control. Possible?

Zweiguys:
Have been using rockbox for a few years on an iPod gen 4 30gb and a gen 5 128gb using iflash. I recently picked up a gen 7 classic and installed the iflash into it as I like the earbud controls. If I go ahead and install rockbox on this gen 7 will I lose the earbud controls?
