Sansa ClipZip Broken charging (in Rockbox...)

Bit of an odd one.  I accidentally put my Clip Zip through the wash (

After a couple of days drying out in rice it seemed to work fine until it ran out of battery.  At that point, I realised that it wasn't charging when plugged in.  Rockbox would detect the charger, but the battery meter would jump to max, and on the battery info screen it would say the charger was present, but it wasn't charging.

In a last ditch attempt to get it to charge, I booted it back into the Sansa original firmware, and charging works when on the battery info screen in the original firmware.   

I'm not 100% why charging would work in the originals firmware, but not Rockbox?   Any ideas?

Do you have confirmed that in original firmware the battery is indeed accepting charge (not just indication)?

Yeah, it's the only way I can get any charge into it.

and now the headphone socket has died.

Officially in mourning now.  They are going for over £70 on Ebay.  :'(
