Samsung yp ro
« on: April 05, 2017, 08:13:36 PM »
I see in the wiki that the samsung yp ro is semi supported by rockbox. Would someone be able to tell me what the state of the port is ? Also did the doom issue get fixed?

What was the issue with doom? If it hung on "Starting graphics engine", it's likely the timer API wasn't implemented.

The main issue with doom is that it's there :)

Rockbox on YP-R0 works pretty well for a daily use.

Main developer Lorenzo is no longer active so the port is unmaintained. Current status is the same as early 2015 and will most likely not change in near future.

Doom still doesn't work. I can't remember what is the exact issue though. I can check next week when I'm back home.

I see the "Doom Menu", select "Play Game" and it just gets frozen immediately before starting loading anything. I need to reset the device.

No, it's just stucked on the doom menu with "Play Game" highlighted.
The other menus (Game, Addons, Demos, Options) work fine though.
