iPod Video - Recmended way to delete all music.

I have a very large mp3 collection and when I edit the ID3 tags, rename folders etc. what is the best way to clear out the entire storage ready to upload my collection again?

Would it work to format the drive and then copy the .rockbox folder back?

Select the folders you do not want and then delete them.
