Rockbox not properly running with Sansa Clip plus ?
(1/1)
FrenchCounty:
Hi,
Last week, I just received a brand new sansa clip+ under blister as a gift (hidden for years at the bottom of a drawer in my sister's house :o). I updated it with the official firmware then I installed rockbox 3.13 After browsing for a while in the settings menu, my first impression was really good.
Later on, I got the first clue that something was going wrong. I noticed that when safely unplugging sansa clip plus from pc, it was always sending me back this message :
--- Quote ---Error accessing playlist control file
--- End quote ---
Then I tried to add preset for my favourite radio stations. Unfortunately after reboot, all of them were disappeared, and i got this message :
--- Quote ---No settings found. Autoscan ?
--- End quote ---
I couldn't find anymore the specific folder .rockbox\fmpresets
After many many tests, and I don't how, I suddenly managed to fix that problem, and i enjoyed listening to my favourite stations
Then, I decided to load via Rockbox Utility, a custom theme for a better readability. I managed to implement it in my device, but when i select it, I get a message
--- Quote ---config load
--- End quote ---
but when I reboot, nothing is changed.
After many many tests, and I don't know how, I suddenly managed to install & run a custom theme. For ten minutes, I have been comparing 3 or 4, making sure by rebooting each time that the tested theme was really working.
Unfortunately, the last theme I chose cannot be removed or replaced anymore : I'm stuck now in audiobooks theme :-\.
I manually deleted it from windows explorer, but this "ghost theme" is still being operated by rockbox.
My question is simple : How should I fix this reliability problem ?
Thanks

Update to the current development build. 3.13 is ancient and was released relatively early in the clip+ port.

Following the download button brings up the old version,
How do you get to the suggested 'development' area?
see attached.
Thanks ahead of time....

Either run the installer in the picture you linked to and select "development build" or click the "dev builds" link on the left side of your screen.
