Well, no longer relevant I guess, but did you try going into recovery mode?  Or disk mode?  and/or connecting to the computer and deleting the track it was trying to play on boot-up?

What do you mean by 'first one'?  That's not very clear!  By 'not the emcore version' I can only assume you mean the not-quite-released-yet dual-boot bootloader with custom RB utility?  Works great for me.

And which version of rockbox itself are you using?  Not 3.13, presumably, as I'm not sure that even works with the dual-boot bootloader.

If you were using the dualboot version, did you sync tracks with OF or RB?  I have found syncing with RB can cause corruption problems sometimes, and I think disk corruption could cause the problem you had.  Using dualboot and always syncing in OF mode I find is pretty reliable.

hey.

glad to see  SOMEONE replies here -.-  wtf

anyway thanks!!

am not sure..how to get into recovery mode Or disk mode

with "first one" i mean the bold one

Installation

There is no official Rockbox bootloader available yet, however a beta version is available that is generally functional and stable:

https://files.freemyipod.org/~user890104/bootloader-ipodclassic.html

This version of the bootloader and installer enables installing from a GUI (patched version of rockbox utility) and dual booting the Apple firmware. This method is the easiest and should be used by new users until an official release is available.

Alternatively, you can use emCORE from freemyipod.org in place of the beta bootloader. This install method will completely replace the iPod Classic firmware and is more complex.

Development builds are currently provided by the rockbox build system:

http://build.rockbox.org/data/rockbox-ipod6g.zip

Alternatively, you can install development builds using rockbox utility like any other target. Installing the bootloader will however require that you follow the directions on the link above as the official rbutil build cannot yet install the bootloader.

i have the version the windows pc rockboxutility gave me automaticly..so am not shure. i have allready tried to get rid of rockbox , so i cant check now.
though, not even that worked out well, and i got rid of rockbox, but cant get rid of the bootloader, which is blocking my ipod now (opened anoter topic for that)

which one is the dual boot version and what is sync with OF please?

thanks again, best c.
