Deleting MP3s Accidentally Put In System Volume Info Folder on Clip Zip RB 3.13?
« on: February 01, 2017, 06:29:11 PM »
I accidentally deposited 2 large MP3s in the System Volume Information folder on my Rockboxed (3.13) Sansa Clip Zip. I have attempted to delete these 2 MP3s multiple times with no luck.
I am using Windows 10 Pro. Any assistance would be appreciated!

You need to give more information. Why can't you delete them?

Quick update, my friend was able to delete the MP3s using a tool included with his antivirus program (AVG).

Every time I attempted to delete the files using Windows Explorer, the MP3s would appear as if they were removed.
However, they remained in the System Volume folder whenever I reopened that folder.

Have you tried deleting the files with Rockbox itself?
By the way I remove the System Volume Information Folder using the disktidy plugin because it is not needed on the player and I suggest to update to a current build. 3.13 is very old.

Which version of Rockbox should I update to?
The current release version is still listed as 3.13.

Current build.  USB is actually fairly broken in 3.13 for the Clip Zip.

I've updated the Rockbox FW to the latest dev build and noticed a massive improvement in performance.
