Ipod Classic 6Gen fails to be rw after rockbox install.

(1/1)

InDestress:
I managed to install using the Emcore files:

installer-ipodclassic-r859-20120102.ubi
and
bootstrap_ipodclassic_itunes.exe

It even boots... but it says that it can't find rockbox.ipod and so it uses the Emcore failback.
Then it says it dosen't have the .rockbox folder/or file.

Nither windows 10 or the Rockbox utill will access the drive?

How do I get this rockbox.ipod file and how do I make the ipod writeable?

cereal_killer:
I think this error message means, that there is no Rockbox build on the HD. Try to use disk mode to access the iPod and copy a current build to the player. Did you use Rockbox Utility to install?

Check this guide: https://files.freemyipod.org/~user890104/bootloader-ipodclassic.html

InDestress:
I ended up using the files mentioned and then accessing the Rockbox Ipod via linux and copied the .rockbox from windows.
Sadly windows 10 won't let me write or read to the drive after I flash it :D
