"file not found" on clip zip, after using the utility tool
« on: January 17, 2017, 12:19:29 AM »
so my clip zip was working with rockbox but for some reason the original firmware didnt work. so I thought i'll update it with the utility, maybe it will fix my original firmware (so I wont be getting green screen). I plugged it in and clicked on all the options of the utility, selected "rockbox" , "bootloader" and "themes", selected a few themes on the way and clicked the "install" button and selected the original fw as usual.

tldr: normal rockbox installation
now after he finished and I ejected it from the pc, it freaked out with some panic messages and a white screen, then I had to power it off manually (holding power button) and now each time it shows "file not found" whenever it boots up into rb bootloader, and then says "connect usb device". I tried it again, ensured that there is a "clpza.bin" file on the root of the memory, and when I ejected it, it said again, "file not found"... what should I do? how to make it working again?

Usually this means that the file system is corrupted.  Either boot into the rockbox USB mode and fix the file system, or boot into the OF and fix it there.  Once you've fixed it, you'll probably want to copy a new .rockbox folder over in case the last one was corrupted.

You also probably should not copy a clpza.bin file over.
