can't get shuffle across albums to work

i have been trying to get shuffle to work on my sanza clip plus with rockbox installed. i have followed a couple of methods previously posted here some years ago but no matter what i get to a spot where it says 'erase dynamic playlist yes or no'. there is no way to select yes or no but no matter what i push it seems to run through the tracks and erase the playlist and then shuffling across alblums won't . any ideas?
