Since the Iriver players are the most interesting devices to mod I bought many CF Cards to test in an Iriver H120.
Because of the discription of the "Iriver firmware flashing" site I haven't dared to do this mod yet.
But my experience is that some of the industrial cards work fine without flashing the firmware.
Just install rockbox on the player, copy the installed files on the CF Card and put it in the player with the common adapter.
For example the TS8GCF45I (other Industrial cards from Transcend seems not to work!) or the TRS Industrial Grade work fine.
Of course these cards are often expensive wit little memory and rare.
But why does it work with the industrial cards? If someone would know the reason for, wouldn't there be a possibility to work
around the problem with normal CF Cards and doing the mod with an "adjusted" normal installation?
I would also be pleased if someone can tell me where I can get Industrial Cards to reasonable prices ;-)
