I am not aware of any technical reason as to why it shouldn't.

It is a simulator, not an emulator. If you want a full desktop Rockbox experience, you would need to build the SDL application.
A foothold into this process can be gained at the development guide section of the Rockbox wiki.

The simulator will do just fine, however it's strange that all audio formats works well with it, only Opus fails.
Few tracked files don't play correctly in both sim and the unit itself (mainly IT)
It could be that some of the extended effects and filters are not (yet) supported.

I have used both Clip+ and Clip Zip with opus-files. I convert most of my podcasts to opus, so I really know what I'm writing about. I think it worked already with 3.13, but I'm on daily builds, so it's quite a time since I last used the same version as 3.13.
BTW. OffTopic: If someone knows a good tool to split opus-files like mp3splt and oggsplt does for mp3 and ogg I would like to hear/read about it.
