need opinions on a modded theme/statusbar does not show right

I like the themes of dfkt for the X5 a lot, but I wanted to have album art in cabbiev2 style with his latest theme (http://themes.rockbox.org/index.php?themeid=2120&target=iaudiox5). So I modified the theme and need some opinions about the size of the AA and font size. It was not easy for me to choose the right size, to have the right amount of information about the current playing track and also to ensure readability. Please see the attached screenshots for an impression.

But I encountered one problem: as you can see on the third screenshot, there are some artifacts on the statusbar, when I power the X5 on (white areas, that disappear if the screen gets refreshed). Anyone seen this problem before? Any way to fix it?
