any manufacturer ported rockbox?

did any any manufacturer release a player with ROCKbox Yet?

if so would love to get a player!

is it legal for them to do so?

Well so long as they release the source code for their modified firmware it will be fine.  (such is the requirement of GPLv2 software)   They could also simply create their own port here and put their work twards improving rockbox for them AND everyone else.
