Sansa Fuze+ interference
« on: October 04, 2016, 10:46:49 AM »
I have been using RockBox on my Fuze+ for a while, but I have an annoying issue with noise. There is a large amount of background hiss.. a lot of clicking which seems to be related to whether the screen is on or not, and a high pitched whine when the device is started up, which disappears after a while, but not related to the screen. Anyone else getting this? And how can I fix it?! I am pretty certain some of the distortion has disappeared in the past after reimaging, but this doesn't seem to be the case this time.

I seem to remember background noise being an issue for me a while ago, and then was fixed in a later version.

Are you using the latest development build with all the fixes that go with it?

Do you have a microSD card installed - have you tried using it without?
I remember my Fuze+ used to be quite noisy with one of my microSD cards; another brand of card was a bit quieter (but still not perfect).
