Can you give examples of failing themes, and describe which asset(s) do not apply prior to rebooting the device?

I should have mentioned, that album art not showing up prior to reeboot is a completely random pattern on my Cowon D2+ for which I compiled a recent build editing fat.c to make Rockbox at least usable now. See: http://www.rockbox.org/irc/log-20160919#16:49:53  So this might be really not helpful here.
