Ipod 6.5 with Iflash Quad, get Error Filesystem

(1/1)

ilverz:
Hi guys, I have and Ipod with rockbox on it.
One month ago I decided to change my HD with 4 micro sd using the Iflash Quad adpater.
It works, but I have a problem, i got a lot of filesystem errors.

I will discribe what happen:
1) Connect my ipod, mount it as read-write mode
2) I put new music on it
3) umount
4) Rockbox work properly
5) Reconnect the Ipod with my Linux
6) Impossible to mount  it read-write, FILESYSTEM CORRUPTED!
7) Then I repair it with dosfsck
And than again to point 1)

What could I do?
Help!

saratoga:
You can search the forums to learn more, but frequently those aftermarket adapters do not work with the rockbox ATA driver.

If your problem is mainly from using USB mode, you can try copying files in the Apple firmware if that is any more stable.

ilverz:
Thanks saratoga for the answer.
You mean copy music on the Ipod using Itunes?

saratoga:
iTunes will give your files funny names, so I wouldn't use it. Try copying directly.

The iTunes file naming obfuscation only applies if you were using the file browser for navigation and playback. I just thought I'd point that out.

The database function uses the file metadata, so it's going to be as good as the files are tagged I guess. iTunes is historically pretty bloody terrible at "fixing" missing metadata, I use MusicBrainz Picard personally.
