Hello all. I recently purchased a new head unit for my car. It was my hope initially that I could connect my Rockbox'd iPod 5.5 to it via USB and control the music from the car stereo, which seems to not be the case. I don't mind having to use the 1/8" input jack, but one of the reasons I wanted it to interface with my car was so that I could have the Now Playing screen displayed big on the head unit's screen instead of having to reach for the iPod and look at it's tiny screen while taking my eyes off the road just to see the song title or artist. But in learning more about my new head unit I've come to find the 1/8" input is an audio/video input. It also seems that iPod 5.5 videos could send video out of the headphone jack if you use an 1/8" cable that support audio left, right, and video. So what I'm asking is, does Rockbox support video output through the 1/8" jack? Would I be able to have the Now Playing screen or file browsing screen displayed on my head unit's display? I realize I can buy an A/V cable for relatively cheap and just try it but if it doesn't work I wouldn't be 100% sure if it's because Rockbox doesn't support it or because of some other reason. So if anyone knows or has tried this, please share. Thanks.
