[Sansa Clip v2] Updating Rockbox

Hi

What is the preferred method for updating Rockbox whilst keeping the original settings? (my changes). I am running Ubuntu and have downloaded the Rockbox Utility but happy to update manually if needed. My main concern is keeping my changes intact between each update. Please advise.

You can use rockbox utility or do it manually.

There are directions in the user manual if you need them.

I had read section 2.4 in the manual prior to posting but wasn't sure whether the existing configuration would be overwritten using the utility or unzipping manually. Having unzipped, it looks like the config file is created automatically after making changes to a fresh installation of Rockbox. Thanks.
