Clip Zip freeze at boot

<< < (2/3) > >>

Mihail Zenkov:
Can you try format disk in this mode?

natanelho:
OK so I've done what ya said- connected it to USB when it was powered off while holding center button (select button)
now the clip zip still shows it's "Boot 4.0" screen as before
when going to "computer" in my windows laptop I cant see it
in device manager it shows "rockbox internal storage" under "disk drives", "E:\" under "portable devices", and "USB Mass Storage Device" under the "USB controllers". when I manually write "E:\" in the adress bar of file explorer and press enter, it shows an empty folder, and when I right- click on "removable device" (which apeared now on the left of the screen) and choose properties, it shows that it has 0 byte capacity, and I cant format it, 'cause it does nothing when I click on "format"... what can I do?

EDIT: it does the same as above when connected without holding the center button

Mihail Zenkov:
Probably you should try connect player to another computer (or another OS). If you can - try connect it to computer with linux.

natanelho:
I will try. if that won't work with any computer, not windows nor linux, what should I do?

Mihail Zenkov:
You should check which disk size you see.
If you small drive (4 or 30mb) - your player partially bricked (http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/Main/SansaAMS#Unbricking).
