Ipod Nano 2 - no connection and other problems
Mihail Zenkov:
From rockbox manual:
3.1.3. Starting the original firmware
Rockbox has a dual-boot feature. To boot into the original firmware, shut down the
device as described above.Turn on the Hold switch immediately after turning the
player on. The Apple logo will display for a few seconds as Rockbox loads the original
firmware.
You can also load the original firmware by shutting down the device, then clicking the
Hold switch on and connecting the iPod to your computer.
Regardless of which method you use to boot to the original firmware, you can return
to Rockbox by pressing and holding Menu and Select simultaneously until the player
hard resets.

That doesn't make any difference for getting a connection from pc to nano. It still doesn't work. My Pc always gives me a message like: tle last usb-device that was connected to this pc, didn't work properly/ didn't function in the usual way and is not recognized by windows.
saratoga:
But can you play music in the Apple firmware? If not, what error message do you get?
Andrea77:
There is no more music or other files on it. I can browse through the different folders like pics or extras or even play the games.
saratoga:
Ok so it sounds like the device itself is physically fine and its just USB that isn't working. Maybe try a different USB cable?
