[Sansa Clip v2] Loading firmware. File not found

If I charge my Sansa whilst it is switched off, I get the following error:-

"Loading firmware. File not found" and then displays "Bootloader USB mode".

If I unplug at this stage, I then get this error:-

"*PANIC* Unhandled masked IRQ 03: INT_USB (status 0x00000008)"

If the Sansa is switched on before charging, it seems to charge ok (displays usb logo)

I am running version fe9a3ceM-160327.

The USB crash will probably be fixed in a few days once the i2c rework goes in.  Or at least I suspect it will be much less likely.

No idea about the "file not found" thing in the title.

This above message has re-occurred with build 6548dc2-160414. Whilst the Sansa is displaying "Bootloader USB mode", it does not charge in this state.

I think better not try charge player when it off. Charging in all Sanasa AMS players controled by software. So when player off charging process probably not controlled and can be not safe/incorrect.

You can turn off the player while charging. That will stop charging, rockbox has to be running to actually charge.

I check it right now: for both cases, with correct power off and forced (long press of power button in USB mode), behavior of charging same. It charging with low current 33mA on ~70% of charging and slowly decreasing. So it probably safe (if it completely off at end of charging).
