Keeps rebooting every minute - drains battery

(1/4) > >>

mmazzotta99:
Hello

I have a 1tb ipod and I am running rockbox on it. I noticed that when I look at the battery life throughout the day when I am not using it, the battery is decreasing even when I am not using it. I have read the manual and put it on 1 minute idle poweroff so that it would shut down after 1 minute of not using it, but now it seems to reboot every 1 minute. What am I doing wrong? Does Rockbox just drain the battery inherently?

Thanks

What do you mean by reboot?  The player turns itself back on?

mmazzotta99:
Yes it says "shutting down" and then the apple logo comes up then the rockbox logo comes up and then it is back at the menu screen. Then 1 minute later it says "shutting down" and starts that whole process again, over and over

Any thoughts.
The only items I switched were

Idle Poweroff - I swtiched from "off" to "4 minutes"
and
Accessory Power Supply - I turned to "off"

Is it plugged into something that is turning it back on?  Usually once the ipods are off the only thing that can turn it on are the buttons or the power pins on the dock connector.

No it is not plugged in to anyhting, however I selected 'off' in the  'Idle Poweroff' from '4 mins' that seems to stop the issue of it shutting down and turning back on. I will keep an eye on it to see if it starts to lose battery life when it is not being used.

Thanks for your help and any future thoughts or advice
