Cannot copy music files to IPOD

I installed rockbox on my ipod 5th gen video that has been changed to use flash memory. And i can not add music, when i try to copy files it copies a few and then hangs before disconnecting and windows explorer crashing. When using teracopy it says that the music file can not be found so it wont copy it. using the default apple OS this does not happen so it is something to do with rockbox.

If the Apple firmware works, just use that to copy files. Otherwise your only option is probably to hack the storage driver or buy a different flash storage device.

If i add all the files from the apple firmware would i still be able to use rockbox? Would i just boot the the apple firmware then add files then restart to rockbox?

Yes it doesn't matter how you add files.
