Stop button not allowing me to stop playback.

amp:
I have noticed for quite a while now (on a build from 23/05/2006) that the stop button wasnt allowing me to stop playback. This didnt bother me that much because when I start a playlist I usually listen to it right to the end then shut down the player or changed to a different playlist.
I have just updated rockbox to the latest build (04/07/2006) and the stop button is still not allowing me to stop playback part-way through a playlist.
I have tried plenty of times to do this, but obviously if I hold down the stop button it shuts the player down.
It would be handy if I could stop the playback without shutting the player down.
I know I cant be doing anything wrong, so is anyone else experiencing this or is it glitch to my player??
I have resume playback on start-up enabled, but I dont think this is the cause of the problem. Correct me if im wrong.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you enable party-mode? It's a system to prevent that the music stops.
Menu -> General Settings -> Playback -> Party Mode

Thanks for the reply Petur.
Party mode is not enabled.
Any other ideas as to why I cant stop the playback?

amp:
I have now noticed the only way to stop the playback is to first press NAVI button to take me back into the playlist directory.
Then pressing stop button will allow me to stop the playback.
Would it be reasonable to expect rockbox to stop playback by pressing the stop button in the playback screen?????
Can this be implemented into rockbox future builds???
Any thoughts anyone.

Mr. Brownstone:
Playback should stop when you are in the WPS or Browser.
