TL;DR: Sansa Clip+ keeps freezing shortly after turned off no matter what I do.
Hi everyone,
I hope you can help me. I have a Sansa Clip+ that worked flawlessly for five years until, all off a sudden, it froze while it was turned off. I was then able to reset it by holding the power button for 30 seconds, it came back to life. Unfortunately it kept freezing randomly after short times when turned off.
So I did the following to detect the error:
- Firmware update to the newest version (01.02.18)
- Re-format the partition (FAT32)
- Installed Rockbox
- Removed the the SD CARD
- Deleted everything on the partition
- Removed Rockbox
Bu nothing really helped. Every time after a reset, I can turn it off and turn it on immedialtely after. But when I wait for a couple of minutes, it freezes.
And now I have a totally stripped down Clip+ with nothing on it that keeps freezing while turned off which I am able to reset by holding the power button for 30-60 seconds (sometimes even more), so not much has changed. To notice, that even while it was running Rockbox, things did not turn out better.
Has anyone any suggestions what I could try to prevent my dear-loved Clip+ from freezing?
