Will big files in wps decrease battery life?

I've noticed the fonts used in my preferred wps have a huge filesize.  They are both about 250K.  I'm wondering if this will lead to lower battery life.  In searching the forums for an answer, it sounds as though there are separate buffers for playback and the wps.

Is this true?
If so, does unused space in wps buffer get added to playback buffer?
