ipod classic line out problem
« on: February 04, 2016, 02:22:03 AM »
Hi all, I planned to buy a stereo system, is sony srs-x9,it has a usb port could  enter the music in, so I think if my rockboxed ipod classic 160g can line out ?I mean just put the usb cable in the port, and then connect the ipod classic. Will the sound go out from the stereo? Or, can the ipod be recognized as a flash drive?

PS:sorry for my poor english.

Most USB ports will recognize an mp3 player as a flash drive, so it won't matter if you are running rockbox or not.

Not controlled by the stereo.

No, it'll function exactly the same as if your iPod was a flash device.
