automatic resume in version 3.13 on Sansa Clip+

Can't get this to work. Yes, I did RTFM.

FWIW, if I click on "resume playback" after power up it does correctly resume where it left off on shutdown. But I would like it to "automatically" (i.e. without needing to click on anything) resume.

Both "Database" and "Automatic Resume" have a "+" shown which seems to indicate enabled. However if I descend one level the circle in front of "Automatic Resume" is empty as opposed to solid white. Looks like mixed signals to me. Could someone please explain? I've noticed that when I select "Yes" the circle doesn't get filled in and even worse when shutting down the settings aren't saved.

What is/are the magic setting(s) that I'm missing? Thanks.

IIRC this is the only setting you need to change:

I had to read this more than a few times, but is the "+" you're referring to the Database icon in this picture?

It doesn't indicate anything beyond "Database".

Thank you. Your recommendation did the trick.

Pity the Sansa Clip+ can't be powered on by the act of inserting the AUX plug (like detection of the mini-USB). Electrically it's possible, but I guess it's just not implemented. The manual incorrectly discusses a DC-in port for car usage, but the Clip+ does not have a DC-in port (mine only has mini-USB, AUX, and a card slot).

DC is provided over the USB port ...
