EQ settings for sennheiser cx200.

Hi guys. I have sandisk sansa clip plus rockboxed and equiped with sennheiser cx200. But i dont have the eq configurations. Would any of you help me with the eq configs. Thank you.

You're being quite vague, but I'm not sure you realize that you're being so. What exactly do you want help with? Just saying you want help with "eq configurations" is a really wide sweeping arc.

What exactly is it that you want to achieve?

In case you're not aware, the Rockbox EQ is a full parametric equalizer, and is very, very powerful. Basically, if you are not aware of what a parametric equalizer is, and/or need to ask, you probably shouldn't touch it at all.

It gives you the opportunity to do some extremely stupid things, without the foresight of knowledge, and it is sorely tempting to utilize all 8 bands of the EQ and the high and low shelf filters, but you should absolutely not do this.

Not only is it terribly inefficient to do so, there's absolutely no reason to. Most leveling (which is the only real reason you should be using this EQ) will only require 2 or 3 bands tops. The other bands exist primarily so that users can select from a specific frequency range easily.

Basically, if all you're wanting to do is color the sound to your liking, you should forget that the parametric EQ even exists, and just use the bass and treble settings.Not only is this easier for an end user to grasp the concept of, it is less hassle, and vastly more efficient (read as : 'uses a metric shit-tonne less processing power, and in turn, less battery').

What i want is to listen to real sound. I want to feel every detail of sound included bass ofcourse . I now sennheiser cx200 is not capable enough to do what i want but i had to start from somewhere.

maybe you can find a frequency chart of the cx200 somewhere and see which frequencies need to be lowered/raised to achieve flat response. Or if you can't find a chart, just read the reviews and see what others say about the sound... is the bass too strong, or the treble or mids.

there's another way which is a bit advanced:
make sound files in audacity, sounds that last 1min each and each sound represents 1 point at frequency chart, for example you have 20hz, 100hz, 500hz, 1khz, 2khz, 5khz, all the way to 20khz. Then when you made these sound files you put them on your player of choice and play them one by one and then see which frequencies need to be upped or downed. The key is to make all frequencies have equal loudness.
