Trying to use rockbox on Xperia Z3

Guys, I cant find any news but is rockbox supproted for newer android ports?

I am trying to run it on my xperia z3 but It crashes.

Does it require root (sd card access rather than root...)?

Please help :-)

It relies on the Android OS being no higher a version than 4.4.4, and the Rockbox version being built to match the device framebuffer exactly.
