I'm tired of my Sansa Clip Zip's firmware, which seems to end up eating a LOT of space and getting corrupted occasionally.
But when I try to install Rockbox, it doesn't work.
- I have Rockbox utility and when I open it I can see the Clip Zip and the (Mac OS Yosemite) mount point fine.
- Checked are Bootloader, Rockbox, Fonts, Themes.
- Clicking Install ask me for the Sansa file (clpza.bin)
- Install proceeds and the dialog box shows all OK, ending with "Package installation finished successfully"
- Bootloader is now unchecked; Checked are Rockbox, Fonts, Themes.
- Clip Zip does not reboot itself.
- Eject button yields "Ejecting the device failed. Please make sure no programs are accessing files on the device. If ejecting still fails please use your computers eject funtionality."
- Ejecting from Mac Finder makes the Sansa "Refresh your media"
- The usual Sansa interface comes up, with no Rockbox logo in sight.
- Shutting down and turning the Clip Zip back on does nothing
- Repeating all the above did not help.
?!?!?!?
