Minor Question
(1/1)
Roseheart:
Hey, guys,
This is just a minor question and I'm not sure if it indicates a problem or not. Basically, when I start a playlist containing all the music on my device (Sansa Clip+), it will start from song 1 of 2323. When I turn off the device, then back on, and resume playback, the number on the song that is currently playing will have changed (so if it was originally 2 of 2323, it will change to something like 543 of 2323.). Just wondered what the device has actually done to create this change - for example if it shuffled the previously played songs into the list again at random? Does anyone know?

Just popping in to state that I absolutely can not reproduce this issue with a current build on any of my devices.

This might be related to an issue I experienced before I reformatted/updated. Do you have bookmarks enabled by any chance?
I noticed that sometimes, Rockbox would create a bookmark at a specific point in my playlist when I turned the device off. Then, even if the playlist later finishes to the end, that bookmark was preserved so that any time I tried to play that playlist again, it started from that point (instead of the beginning).
Can you post your config.cfg file?

I use bookmarks on mine but never found an issue like this when turning off my device. What version where you using before you updated?
