Battery capacity Ipod 5 2000mah
arkham:
Hi,
I've installed a 2000mah battery on my ipod video.I'm currently running rockbox version d57e651-151017.
In the settings I can set the battery capacity only up to 1400mah, I'd like to set the real value to have a credible estimation of the remaining autonomy, is there any Rockbox version that permits it?
It is not clear how to know which improvements are offered with the different dev builds.
Thanks

You can edit the source code to add that value, but all its used for is runtime estimation which most people don't even use.
arkham:
Wow, ok thanks, sooner or later I'll try

For what it's worth, as saratoga stated, it really doesn't matter.
Most users will literally never see the estimated runtime (this is NOT related to the battery percentile displayed), and I sincerely doubt this is actually a 2Ah battery.
Also worth noting is that if this really is a 2Ah battery, you almost certainly needed to change the iPod internals to accommodate it (ie. by way of a solid state storage medium conversion), in which case the estimated runtime will be hilariously wrong anyway since it needs to make some assumptions about the hardware and its known power requirements in order to make the estimation.

Yes of course it is a big battery, and I replaced the mechanical disk with the dual sd adapter made by tarkan.
Ok now I understand better how the estimation works, so it's not worth it
Thanks
