Playlist loading issue/question II

The following sequences queue up the mp3 to be played but do not switch to the Now Playing view, nor do they start playing automatically (play defaults to playing or paused, depending on what the IPOD was last doing).

Main Menu » Files » Long Press on Playlist » Current Playlist » View » Click on .mp3 OR
Main Menu » Playlist Catalog » Click on Playlist » Click on .mp3

These sequences previously worked fine (switched to Now Playing view and automatically started the mp3). They stopped working when I recently updated my playlists. I updated the playlists manually on my PC and copied the playlists to the Playlists folder on the IPOD (I have 10 playlists, all with the same formats and issue).

Playlist (M3U8) format:
/podcasts/Brothers Karamazov (Dostoevsky) - 060 05 Pro and Contra 03 The Brothers Make Friends.mp3
/podcasts/Brothers Karamazov (Dostoevsky) - 061 05 Pro and Contra 03 The Brothers Make Friends.mp3

Any thoughts? Is there a setting I may have messed up, or a file I forgot to empty?

Apple 2nd Gen Mini, Installed with Rockbox Utility v1.4 (which I believe installs Rockbox v3.12), Win XP
