64gb Card 20 Hours+ DB Update

Thought I'd try a 64gb card in my Fuze. I formatted it to 32kb Allocation Unit Size and duly copied 55gb of files to it. My Fuze is seeing the files if I check via the "Files" menu option but the database update has been "Updating in background" for over 20 hours now (I check by selecting the "Update now" option). There are 2500 folders containing 18500 files so maybe this isn't unreasonable but on the other hand it does seem a suspiciously long time to me. Can anybody confirm whether this long for a DB update is likely to be normal or whether I'm having a problem?

An update on this.............

After 26 hours I checked again and my Fuze was showing the Rockbox boot screen. I turned off and the on again. It stopped at the boot screen. I tried several times and it kept doing this so I removed the card and put it in an old Android phone. The default music player loaded the DB in about 15 minutes and everything I've checked plays fine so clearly the card is not the problem. Does anyone have any ideas?

I wouldn't be so quick to say that the card isn't the issue when something that should take a matter of seconds, low single digit minutes at most, takes 15 minutes.

Well, it is a very old phone with little memory but point taken.

Anyway, I got a new 32GB card and tried that. RB has started normally and again, file view shows all the files are there but there doesn't seem to be any database activity. All the database entries relating to the previously mounted card are still there and I'm not seeing the "committing database..... "message that I used to see.

OK so I decided to update RB just in case, although I was already running 3.1.3 and that has fixed it. It went straight into "committing database...." and the DB update was completed in about 1 minute. So, no idea what happened but everything is OK now. Thanks for your help everyone
