Autoplay when ac power is turned on

Hello everybody, i read this topic http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=15666.0 where a user used a 1st generation ipod nano to playback automatically when ac power is turned on.

So I searched for ipod nano 1st generation, but it isn't so cheap so...

I would like to ask if somebody could suggest me the cheapest compatible mp3 player (also used) which can autoplay when ac adapter is turned on.

Most players with stable ports can do this.  A sansa clip (+,zip) would work for instance.  I also used a Nano 2G.

just for pointing it out, I am looking for a cheap unit, because i need to install these player in the back of a painting, when somebody is in front of the painting a movement sensor turn on the ac adapter and player should play, so I don't need it for my own leisure

I saw that a used Sansa clip zip costs around €35, so it's perfect!

I forgot to ask if...

When I plug the ac adapter mp3 player turns on, but is it possibile to play a "random" mp3 in the playlist? Or it will resume from where it stopped?
