Works on Windows10
« on: November 15, 2015, 08:38:58 AM »
Hi
Tried to install te Rockbox utility om my PC to get it on my Sanasa clip+. So far so good. But when I start it up, it doesn't work. As soon as I hit autodetect, the utility crashes. If I pick Sansa clip+ from the list  and press OK, pop-up shows that connection point invalid or unknown.
Is the Rockbox Utility suitable for Windows 10??

Thats actually a known issue that has been fixed in the current (but unreleased) git versions.  It means you skipped the step where you change your player from MTP to MSC mode.  Do that and everything should work.

The one linked on the front page should work fine.  Did you have some problem?

You need to be more specific here. Rockbox Utility runs fine on Windows 10 -- I just installed Rockbox on an Ipod Mini. There's an issue that makes it crash on autodetection in some cases, but that's not related to Windows 10. So ... what is your issue?

Sorry - and thanks for your attention. I thought it is a general problem. Autodetection didnt work for me (crash) and it also didnt write the Bootloader when I chose the model manually.
