Hello,
I have a Sansa Fuze (v1) and I'm using Arch Linux. If I'm not wrong, the player used to work better with Debian in the past. Recently I moved to Arch Linux and I'm noticing USB transfers to be unstable, I don't know if it was actually unstable in the past, or something might have broken up (hardware). I don't change the music on the player often, so I'm not sure. Since I started using Rockbox I think also the battery live is slightly shorter, I might be wrong is just my impression.
I would like to know if I could go back to the original firmware and how to do that?
Note: I have lost the original firmware backup on my computer =(, and I don't use windows so a Linux procedure is very much appreciated.
Also note that if I transfer a large quantity of files the "first" time I have no problem. With the "first" time I mean I flash RockBox with rbutil and without rebooting the player, so it is still booted only with the bootloader and no Rockbox files at all; I could rsync 7Gb of music without problems. If I do reboot after installing Rockbox I cannot transfer more than 500Mb without hanging or having USB problems. So perhaps if there is some sort of "key combination" (like press play and power the player at the same time I boot only with the bootloader) I could just transfer fine, that would solve my main problem and I could still use Rockbox.
Thank you very much.
