[SOLVED] Rule for displaying image in WPS?
« on: November 04, 2015, 09:05:34 PM »
Hi all,

iPod Video 5.5 Rockbox v3.13

I'm out of options here, just need a reality check.

Reading the manual, it looks like for an image (album cover) to display, one of the ways to do it is to name the image as [artist]-hyphen-[album name].jpg -- as they appear in the track's Artist and Album-name TAGS, and of course the image has to be a jpg. Is this correct?

I just wanted to verify this. I have one pesky album cover that refuses to display despite being named correctly. I've also tried resizing it to a smaller size (300x300), saving the image in the files' image tag, and putting the image in the album's directory. No joy.

Let me know if I'm doing this right or wrong, please.

Thanks in advance.

Does it happen to be progressive?

Well, yes, it was. Based on your question, I used GIMP to re-export it without the progressive option. I test problems like this on the Rockbox-iPod emulator in Win7, now the image displays happy as a clam, in both the emulator and my iPod.

Thanks so much for the hint!
